One of my favorite projects at work is designing the covers and layout for FTI Journal. We try to make each issue as unique as possible and I get to test different techniques: vector, paint, photomanipulation, 3D, etc.

I usually start with sketching out different concepts that convey the article summary. I work with the creative director try to express a complex topic in a way that’s clever or simple.

or icons to help tell the story.
